Version 0.20 is out!
Happy to announce that version 0.20 of the demo is out on itch.io!
Changelog for Version 0.2:
Graphics
* Redid all the shaders to allow for more functionality. Objects should be more consistently affected by lighting.
* Added highlights to denote what objects you are currently interacting with.
* Lowered light bloom. A lot. Like a lot a lot. Maybe need to lower it more, IDK.
* Added a light outline to umbra to make her easier to see when the game is zoomed out.
* Doors that require a key are now colored.
Audio
* Removed crunchy sound effect off of emitters that plays when the emitter rotates.
UI and Controls
* Menu is now fully interactable and controllable with pure keyboard or gamepad controls (no mouse required).
* Can now rebind Keyboard and Gamepad inputs and they persist between sessions (might be hit-or-miss with WebGL build).
* Added three camera modes you can toggle between with Space key. There's a close view, a zoomed out one, and a room-oriented one.
* You can now take screenshots via F12! It automatically saves to the game directory/Screenshots folder.
* There's now a little contextual popup near emitters and repeaters to show they're rotatable.
Gameplay
* Reworked Umbra's color system. Instead of cycling between different colors based on the keys she is carrying, she instead gets a color that's a composite of whatever colors she is carrying. This trend's towards white but it can vary.
* More colors are possible in the laser system. Mostly more intermediary colors and lower value colors that can result from filtering.
* Re-worked rotation speeds for emitter and repeater. Now functions as actual acceleration rather than the uncapped nonsense I was using before. Extra advantage is that rotation speed is no longer frame-rate dependent (well, not noticeably) so precise control of the laser is easier now. Will have to fine tune values though.
* Removed secret 4th option
